A Consortium.
Accelerating the market development of affordable net-zero energy homes.
Published on March 31, 2011, our NZEH Industry Implementation Plan was developed to establish and deliver a customer focused business plan. The objective was to strategically prioritize the key activities of the NZEH Coalition based on the needs of the builders and other key industry stakeholders. (The Coalition used the key activities that were previously developed through collaborative efforts with industry, led by NRCan, CMHC and Industry Canada, as a basis for our list of key activities.) With direct input from industry stakeholders this prioritization is allowing the Coalition to focus our efforts and resources on those activities that will have the most significant impact in moving toward achieving our vision.
Coordinating our collective efforts through the consolidation of resources and collaboration of activities will ensure that we are successful in driving the industry forward.
To ensure this Industry Implementation Plan is carried out we have invited a select group of industry and government organizations, whose efforts are strategically aligned with ours, to form a public-private Consortium for the next 5 years. The objective of the Consortium is to drive our industry forward in achieving mass market acceptance of Net-Zero Energy Homes.
Guided by our NZEH Industry Implementation Plan, Consortium members will work closely with our Board to provide strategic advice in implementing this plan. Our goal is to achieve a significant impact in energy policies, programs and R&D priorities over the next 5 years that will give the Coalitions’ members a growing share of the NZEH market. Consortium members will be at the forefront of achieving this transformation.
